About me
Well met!
My name is Bonnie (aka Bloodmage) and I'm a tattoo apprentice based in Fremantle, bringing a lifelong passion for art, fantasy, and medieval history into the world of tattooing.
With a background in graphic design and illustration (at Curtain university) I specialise in creating custom pieces inspired by medieval woodcut and etching art.
When I’m not at the studio, you’ll likely find me at a renaissance fair, rolling dice in a D&D campaign, or curled up with a fantasy novel. I’m deeply inspired by medieval history and Celtic paganism - as it reminds me a lot of my Scottish grandmother, who I looked up to a lot when I was young (she was Wiccan!)
From the moment I could hold a pencil, drawing has been my sanctuary; a way to communicate, tell stories, explore the realms of imagination. I’ve always use my art as a way of communicating , as being autistic can make it hard to navigate the world. Art became the way I truly learned to connect.
As well as creating unique, and well crafted tattoos - I am to create true connection with my clients. I provide a safe and inclusive environment where people from all walks of life can come and put artwork on skin that is reflective of who they are and what they love.
As someone who is Neurodivergent, I understand that traditional tattoo environments can sometimes be not the most accommodating to Neurodivergent/ disabled folks. That’s why I have made it a priority to accommodate where ever I can to the needs of my clients - Whether that is booking on a day that is quite so that the studio is quiet, Breaking sessions in to small, manageable sessions, taking amble breaks or even providing fidget toys!
